We had a great weekend! We didn't really do anything, we just enjoyed some family time.

I have a hilarious Cade story I'm dying to share...trying to figure out how to recreate & post here...stay tuned!

Cade & Chad went the OU-Texas Tech basketball game on Saturday, Valentine's Day. Cade loved it & is STILL talking about it. Then on Sunday, they ran a couple errands together, and Chad said at each stop Cade would ask, "Is this the basketball game?"

While they were at the game on Valentine's Day, I enjoyed a leisurely trip to the mall...I couldn't figure out why it was PACKED until I got inside & saw all the men holding women's purses! LOL I really was grinning at myself everytime I saw one - it was crazy - who does that?! I can't imagine asking Chad, or anyone, to hold my purse. :)

Cade has a girlfriend in his class. :( Cade is apparently a rebound from another little boy recently graduated into the next room, but they have the same birthday so it's meant to be. Today, she wasn't at school, and on the way home he wanted me to go get her to ride with us & go play outside with him. Ah - he's only two years old! :)

Oh, and sorry we didn't make it up on Sunday. There are no good excuses, but I'll give you mine anyway...it was cold & I was tired & I had a lot of laundry/cleaning/mail/bills/etc to get done after & before two insane weeks at work. Chad originally planned to do OT that afternoon, so I kinda thought Cade & I would run up, but then their computers were down, so he was home, so we all just hung out together...something it seems we hadn't been doing b/c of Chad's OT... So this weekend was just in time - I just read an article in this month's Parents magazine about a 3-year-old acting out b/c Dad's work schedule changed, and it really could have been written by me...I got my first experience with Cade's teacher needing to talk to me when I picked up Cade b/c he was being difficult. I could tell he had been wearing her out & wondered if were transitioning from the terrific to the terrible two's... then I realized it was probably how all our stress manifests in him. so, we all needed some decompression! Sorry if you were disappointed, I really am! I was thinking of Jessica all day.
